Head Injury

If a child has a bump or injury to their head during school time, they will be treated by a first-aider. The school will assess at this stage whether the child will need to be collected from school. Following treatment, should the child remain in school, they will be carefully monitored by staff throughout the rest of the day.

The school will always inform parents of a head injury. It is essential that parents monitor their child for the next 24 hours, as in some circumstances, symptoms can become evident some time after the injury.
